"PearlOfTheQuarter"-Steely Dan-Skunk Baxter Steel

Here's "Pearl of the Quarter", my favorite Steely Dan tune. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter plays pedal steel. It's from The Dan's "Countdown To Ecstasy" album - was that really 45 years ago???? The chord walkdown in the chorus - 12(E), 11F(Gdim), 10(D), 9F(Fdim), 8(C), 7F(Ebdim), 8AB(Dm), 8(C) - is pretty simple but fun to play and sounds great. Feel free to use different string groups with it to mix things up a little.
Corrections and comments always welcome.

Jeff, thank you so much! This was one of the songs that got me into the steel and I learned the intro from a prior transcription you made, it’s always my first impulse to play when I sit down at the steel. Excited to have some good transcriptions of the fills now!

Thanks Jeff!! I had forgotten about this classic. Can't wait to try out your detailed tab. Curious if there are any other Steely Dan recordings with PSG?

Thanks for the nice comments, guys! It's great to get feedback on the tabs.

David: I'm not aware of a whole lot of Skunk's psg playing with Steely Dan but a few other tunes that come to mind are East St. Louis Toodle-oo, Brooklyn, and Razor Boy.

Here's a stab at the break in Brooklyn:

Another great track with Skunk Baxter on steel is the band’s very first single, ”Dallas”, which only ever appeared on a Japanese self titled compilation album. I think “Any Major Dude” has some steel as well!
