I'd get a Millenium, an Emmons Push Pull, a Mullen, a Fulawka, a Fessy, and a Zum.

Then the next day I'd get....

I wouldn't get any of them as long as I have my Franklin, but; if I did, the Zum would be first PSG. “Big John”

I live in an imaginary world where there are no hypothetical situations.

Supposing for a minute I didn't, I'd get my spare Professional rebuilt with five knee levers and white fretboards and pay them a hundred grand to do it this week. I'd have Ricky refinish it. I'd give him ten grand.

I'd buy that one that exists in Carl's imagination.

It would be a SU12 Millenium in black tweed for sure!! After playing one, I personally wouldn't need any other brand just a few different pickups.

Let me add that I will one day have one even without winning the Lottery.

I`d stick with what I have, an Emmons Push Pull. If money was not a problem neither would the weight be. I would pay somebody to carry it. Might buy a few more Push Pulls just in case.

A nice, low-mileage, early 90's van to haul my stuff in. And fries, with my cheeseburger, on the way to the gig.

I would give a generious love offering to each steel guitar builder because they are in it for the love of this instrument.
I hope we can all prosper in 2004.

I would buy an Emmons push-pull and a new Emmons as well. I would be buying all new equiptment as well. I also have a good friend who plays steel that I have promised him a new steel as well. He gets to pick whatever brand he wants. But first, my wife wants a bigger house and a new van to drive so since I live with her I better honor her wishes first.

And a few days of lessons from Big E, Reece, Doug Jernigan and Paul Franklin.

if I can win a lottery I would buy a Sho~Bud name and start a production.On the one end of the bilding.On the other end of the same bilding I would have a brand new push pulls.And I would invest as much as needed to make all the guitars sound great.Hire Mike Cass to work on the guitars 24/7.Next,I would have set up a financing so anyone who wants a good steel could get one.0 down payment on 5 years.No interests.I would also set up a financial schoolarship fund for the kids who want to learn steel guitar.AND,not to forget our seniors,I would also bild a special nursing home for steel players (no cost for living in there),with the music rooms,cafeteria with only a steel music and shows every weekend,the bigest names in business to play for my peeps.AND,I`m not done yet,I would buy CMT and TNN fire all the nonsingin` SOB,have only real country music shows,have Bob run it,Eric West making a steel news and weather (?)I`m sure he would come up with something),Bobbe do a Public relations and Maurice Anderson head of stuff for the complain derpartment.And at the end,I would give Maurice 1.000.000,00 just to leave Bobbe alone.And with money left I would invite all of you guys for the party,hire Playboy bunnies and got drunk.

Are you guys CRAZY!!!??? Now's our chance! I'd buy Waste Management disposal service, hire banjo players to drive and load the garbage trucks, and put a bounty on karioke machines, and those who run them!! I'd have it made law that NO establishment can have any music above a jukebox, unless it's LIVE music. First offence $100,000. Second offence mandatory five years imprisonment with 24/7 kazoo music. Then I'd evict anyone out of Nashville who promotes psuedo country music. Then I'd buy the best night club in Texas and hire my buddies to play, and pay people to like us!! I think I've already got the best steel on the planet, my Marlen D-10. So I'd open Marlen and have Ricky Davis run it. I'd also take some of my spare change and buy everyone at Jagwire Strings a new Jag. Did I mention my knew factory to research and build boutique tube amps?? HMMMMM What was the question, If I was God for a day?? OOpps, the alarm just went off. Dang!! Back to the grind. I had the weirdest dream-----------

First I'd buy a studio big enough to hold them all, then I'd hire a tech to keep them all in fresh strings.

I live on a dirt road two miles long and very rough. I told my wife that if I won the lottery I would buy her a fabulous new house. She said, "No, we'll stay right here and pave this %$#&*!@ road." I have tried most of the better brands of steels, and I still sound like me on all of them. (Tone must be in the hands or something) So -- if I had any money left over after the paving job -- I would keep my Sierra, buy myself a set of Bill Stafford's strings, and pay the down payment on Jody's Supro -- one with a Mother-of-Toilet-Seat finish like the one I started on.
