Peter Den Hartogh asked me to post this message:

Does anybody know how to contact Duane Marrs?
I have used this email address: marrsofmadison@aol.com
but I have not received any reply for weeks and multiple emails.
(I do not want to phone him from South Africa)
Thanks,
Peter den Hartogh

To my understanding they are moving the shop. I don't know exactly where but in the
same area of Nashville, Hendersonville.

Yes both Duane and Jeff are in the process of moving the shop to another location. Duane's phone number is 615-868-5344. You can still catch him sometimes.
[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 13 September 2005 at 05:46 PM.]

GUILTY. Peter your parts were sent in Sepetember after we spoke. Not sure time frame for shipments to South Africa.
Yes, we have NOT been efficient in the past and are striving to get organized with our move. My wife Gloria and I have spent literally days sorting and labeling Sho-Bud parts. We have a gracious supply now.
Duane and I knew we would have set backs with the move since we both bought in Mt.Juliet and homes that were in need of remodeling etc.. in addition to moving the shop and contents which we are still doing. I have just a few more road dates this year and shouldn't be away for a while.
Our business has exploded thanks to this forum and hope to better serve in the near future. As many know, Duane has almost never turned anyone down on any type of repair to save a guitar and keep the cost down. This is just an explanation and not an excuse for our hold up. Thanks again for being patient.
I can be reached at 615-453-2371 and the address is 1824 Logue Road
Mt.Juliet, TN 37122

Sincerely, Jeff Surratt

Hi Jeff and Duane,

I sent you an email on 22 October to tell you that I received the parts in good condition, thank you so much.

Here is a copy of that email:

Hi Duane and Jeff,

Congratulations with your new venture. That sounds fantastic! I wish you guys good luck and I know it will work great!.

I would like to thank you for the parts I ordered. They arrived in perfect condition.
I managed to get the vertical lever in and it works perfectly. It was a tight fit however!
And thank you for the extra bits and pieces. They come in very handy.

With regards to the parts to raise string 3 on C6th one half step with RKR:
Presently RKR raises 4 and 8 a half step on E9th. (Pedal 7 raises 3 a whole tone.) (RKL lowers 4 and 8 on E9th and lowers 3 on C6th)
You sent a short cross-rod with 2 bell-crank pullers and a welded L-bracket with a riveted little plate at the end of this rod. I can see this cross-rod is intended for the C6-deck. But I have no idea how to connect it to RKR.
Do you have any suggestions?

Hope you can help.

Thanks again and best regards

Peter den Hartogh

Thanks Jeff, I got all the parts and alot of extra stuff you put in the box also. Real nice of you, I know moving , can be a big thing, and take quite a bit of time. Good luck to you and the whole Marrs gang.
Sorry , i was perhaps too anxious to get my order, but it was worth the wait.
