GFI Ultra S10 value?
I just took stewardship of a GFI Ultra S10 (serial 1150) 3x4 from a really wonderful woman to whose deceased brother this steel belonged. It is in fantastic playing shape, though some of the wood-grain mica is peeling away a little. I don’t have a standard tuning wrench (my Sho-Bud uses Allen key) to fully tune it, but all seems in order.
I’m to hang on to this thing and use it for students etc, perhaps sell it down the line - she’ll donate the funds to a local music school if that happens.
What would a ballpark value on this be? Thanks in advance.

I currently own two GFI guitars, a SD-10 Ultra and a S-10 Expo-X1. I bought the Expo-X1, new, several years ago and the Ultra, used, a couple of months ago. They are great guitars. The S-10 Expo X1 is now my main gigging guitar and I really like it.
In terms of current value, knowing what I paid, I feel these guitars would sell used in the $2,200 to $2,400 range (Canadian Dollars), which translates approximately to $1,800 to $2,000 (American dollars).
I could actually be a little light on the dollar figure, but time will tell. My GFI guitars are well made, easy to play, easy to work on, and do not weigh a lot compared to others. I can see them holding their value over the years.
