Looking for a scale program

I have Joe Wright's E9/B6 ultimate scale book, but didn't realize until after I purchased it that the copedant he uses is very different than my own.

Does anyone know of a program that will let me set my copedant and then be able to generate scale patterns from that so that I can basically get Joes charts in a form I can use?

Try this, a clever fellow forumite did this.

Bill, check out Dapper Dans program. You can find it under the steel guitar links, at the top of the page. It is quite good.

Thanks Curt,

Dapper Dan's software seems to be limited to 10 string tunings. I have a 12 String Universal. Ben's suggestion looks like it might work.

I tried to use the scale program that was listed but for some reason it would not open. I also tried to find the the program that was referred to in the links and also could not find that. As you can see I am about as good on the computer as I am the PSG. Can anyone point me in the right direction to help me open the scale programs listed? Thanks, Bill

Guitar Map works like a charm. This program alone is going to shave months off my learning curve.

Can you add pedals or knees to this program?

Yes, you can add strings, pedals and knees. You can also easily add any scale you want. It has a great feature where you specify a chord and it can come up with all the possible combinations of pedals, frets, and knees that will play that chord (some of which would be impossible to play obviously). Truely a great program and priced right!

It is a self extracting file. Not sure it is Mac compatible.

Guitar Map is a program. You have to download the zip file then run it. It will install itself just like any other program.

Big thanks again to Mr. Abolins for providing this tool to us out of the kindness of his heart.
