Music slow down apps.
I have used a bunch of slow down apps in the past and they keep getting updated or modified so I cant load or import music files. I have used transcribe, amazing slowdowner, sound forge and even some older versions of Media Player could slow down a piece of music. I really don 't want to pay for an app that's going to go out of date or charge me to load more than the 1st 10 seconds of a music file. DRM (digital rights management) is a good thing for the creators of music, but files protected by DRM won't load even if I buy the tune. How do you guys slow down music these days? Larry Robertson

I highly recommend Best Practice slow down software. It has all the bells and whistles such as looping and is laid out very intuitively. Best of all its free. One great feature among many is you can tune the application to your guitar meaning you don't have to retune your instrument to play along with the song. A lot of the older tunes were not always in standard pitch.

No publicly available app is likely to be able to open DRM files - it would basically be illegal for them to do so, and would completely negate the purpose of DRM.
If you purchase DRM files, you're pretty much restricted to the tools and environment that the seller allows you to use, which is the whole idea.

Hey Tom.........
Thanks for mentioning Best Practice. I just D/loaded it and used it for a bit.
It works very well. I've been using Audacity and Best Practice has a fairly decent sound quality when slowing things down.
Or speeding things up for that matter. It's also very easy to use.
Thank you.....it is appreciated,
Larry
I have stuff.
I try to make music with it.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes it doesn't.
But I keep on trying.

Amazing Slow Downer
ASD is offered by Roni Music. Latest version is $49.95. You can change pitch (key), Slow down/speed up without changing pitch. You can loop whole song or select segments to loop. It has an equalizer to filter out frequencies. It has a Karaoke feature which attempts to filter out voices. This isn't its strong point.
