There’s been multiple postings of surf to steel crossovers, however here’s a steel to surf crossover from the 60s! One of the all time best Surf bands ever IMO.

My brother Ed, played with the Atlantics for about a year. I think that was 1963. They were still using Brillcream, and used to practice in Mrs Huxley's garage.(a neighbor)
And like a lot of those bands, none of them were surfers.

I agree with you Jeremy, one of my all time favourite bands also!
Still active today. I have a copy of the original Bombora LP from back in the day.

| Bosco Bosanac was the bass player for the Atlantics. He went on to do a very good tribute show of Johnny Cash. But Bosco is also a very good pedal steel player. He played a D10 ShoBud but unfortunately he no longer owns a steel and hasn’t played for years, to my knowledge. He did tell me he would like to get another steel and resume but I don’t know if that has happened yet. I don’t think he is a member here. |
