Topic: S10 Knee Lever Question |

| Have you ever seen an S10 with a left forward knee lever. Seems to me that there might not be enough room. I have a friend that is needing to reduce guitar weight, but says he has to have 6 levers one of which is the lkl forward. I figure it is easy on a SD10 but that's not gonna reduce weight enough from a D10. |

When Jim Aycoth owned the Emmons company... I've lost track of the years..., he brought a couple guitars with forward-moving LKs to ISGC. Apparently their idea didn't catch on.
It seems to me that to operate the lever moving forward, you'd have to move your foot back, off and away from the pedals. I think that's the only way legs move, right?

| Yep, I bet that would be awkward. These I'm talking about move to the left but you have to push your knee farther forward under the guitar to reach it. I was afraid a S10 might be too narrow and make it too close to the other LLk. I don't use one, but the old gent I'm trying to help does. He has decided now that he might be able to sacrifice that lever to get a good light weight guitar. |

I tried a few Steels with LKF in St.Louis in the early 2000's, including the Mooney brand, Jerry Brightman's steel, and the Aycoth steel.
It did not catch on, but, imho, every PSG should have a LKF.
The ones I tried worked perfectly.
I can see maybe a problem with a Forward moving pedal on your volume pedal leg, but I did not have a problem using the LKF in the E9th zone at all.
Here is a pic of the Mooney (from the front of the Steel)...
As you can see, the Left Knee has a LKL, LKR, LKV, and LKF. Perfect for S12U especially, imho!

| Well, provided the levers already on the guitar are mounted on or near the rear apron, there's no reason you couldn't add another set of left-knee levers near the center of the guitar. That would allow you to have double LKL and LKR levers. |
