I'm looking for a source of helper or raise assist springs for an early 1980's Franklin steel?
The guitar I'm looking at doesn't have any fitted, so I don't have an example to look at.

I've heard many people comment that Franklin's play really well; a great pedal/lever feel - those guitars I assume have helper springs.
Could anyone suggest a good reason why the springs might have been removed or not fitted?

I have an early 80's Franklin (Split Tail S/N 65), with helper springs. The springs are relatively stiff.

I should have some pictures. I'll try to find them and post.

Yes, I see, the second picture shows them hooked and the first picture shows one unhooked. And non-adjustable... I'll need just the right spring there. Thank you for the pics and help Jack.
