I’m looking for images that show how this thing works and what it can be used for. It seems simple enough, but I don’t get it.

Attach to a device like this, a stompbox or any other device so that you can clip it on the leg of your steel or a mic stand. Comes drilled with 2 screw holes for mounting and long or short lengths. App 3 & 4 inches.
