The Brisbane Bop cd is at the top of my list of "stranded on a deserted island" cds. I have listened to it probably more than any other single recording I have, and I'm still blown away every time I listen to it.
I love it when new recordings of Jimmie and Vance pop up. These guys' playing was sublime, and every time I hear a recording from these guys at 23 Club, I almost feel like I'm there.
Jimmie has to be the most underrated, underappreciated guitarist in history, and Vance's story is surely a tragedy.
Thanks for posting this, Mike!
