Hi guys,

Just wanted to quickly share my praise for this Mullen Pre G2 Royal Precision I received from the Mullen shop.

I already own a SD-10 Mullen G2, but I was in the market for my first D10 to get started on. Reading through comparisons on this forum I had almost convinced myself I had to have a second G2 if I was getting another Mullen or nothing at all, but when this guitar popped up as a trade in on the Mullen website with a full warranty I jumped on it.

This is a pre G2 Royal Precision so I understand it has a G2 wide mount pick up, splits on all the strings but largely it is basically a Royal Precision (body, changer, straight cross shafts). Anyhow I cannot get over how different this sounds compared to my G2! I had figured same pick up, same manufacturer, should sound similar, but they are worlds apart. This RP is much darker sounding a mellower and to my taste I think I actually prefer it to the higher end ring of my G2.

I guess I just wanted to say Royal Precision OR G2 you can't really go wrong with these guitars, in my opinion. Great tone and play like butter. Although that much seems to be common knowledge on this forum

Happy Easter!

Smile
