Are the metal necks and endplates on Emmons Legrande steels cast ?

Thanks Jack.
Most of the steels I have owned that feel like they sing for me happen to have cast endplates and necks. Franklin, Emmons and Clinesmith. I was wondering if the LeGrandes were an exception.

I think the very slight porosity of castings contribute to their ability to "ring" best.

Bells are cast, not CNC cut from billet. That should tell us something.

Herb,I agree,Tiny air bubbles in the casting help the aluminum ring.
