| I recently had one of my pickups go bad on my LeGrande III and I plan on having it re-wound. I seem to remember that it measured around 19.5K. Can anyone confirm that that is roughly the correct winding measurement? It sounded great with that guitar. Thanks, Boo |

| The std winding is 20k with a margin of error a few hundred in either direction. |

I requested 17.5Ks for both necks when I ordered my new LeGrande III in 2003. I'm very happy with them. For me, 20Ks are a bit too dark but for others they sound great. I've always gotten more bass from my hands than average it seems.
My '69 Rosewood Original has a 17K on the E9th and a 16K on the C6th. That horn sounds just fine..!!

| Many different request. Hughey wanted 20k, Emmons used 19k, Brumley 18k. I hear a midrange change mostly in different winding. The early guitars used 16k. Seems through the years a darker preference. |
