WEll that one I like; because it's still the round crossbars with two-hole pullers; so no pot metal.
AS long as the changers haven't moved and are still mounted solid and the lower arm of the fingers haven't worn a big groove in the top piece; that one should be alright.
But I guess there's no way of knowing until one gets it. John Coop has the exact "Better" replacement fingers for that model if one chooses to take all worry-ness out of the playability: other than that; that is a good sounding/playing Pro-III Custom.

I don't think I've ever seen one with inlay like that...very nice. The finish looks like it may have been a custom job. It also appears to have the smooth, narrow pedals. If my information is correct, this was the period when Paul Franklin Sr. would occasionally hand build some custom guitars.
I don't think you could go very wrong with this guitar. |

Let us know how it goes, please.
Awfully pretty wood, and I think the steel necks would be killer. |

It's getting up there in the bidding...
I'll let this one pass.
I am just starting to get my feet wet in the sho-bud world and would be reticent to buy one from a non-forum member.
Also I am not sure which Sho-Bud model to buy quite yet...
Thanks for the opinions on this one,,,

Joseph Barcus,
Just a "heads up" for you, and Ebay sellers. Clark Howard reported on his show a couple of days ago that there was a scam on Ebay.
There have been bogus cashier checks used to pay for items, so be aware..They look like the real thing.

Yeah, if this was for sale from a forum member I would have gone for it... Not knowing much about Sho-Buds I want to be careful...
Thanks for eveyone's advice on this one. I am going to bide my time as I am sure that the right 'bud will come along. |
