I'll be in New Orleans and Eunice, Louisiana, for a week starting Jan 24. Anyone know or a teacher that specializes in Cajun? It would be fun to take a lesson while I'm there.
Thanks!

Cheers

Jr. was a very nice guy. He uses G tuning.

A picture from my visit to Martin Accordions with Carroll and Anita Benoit a few years back. I'm playing one of my Benoit Resonators. Junior Martin is on steel. Carroll Benoit is playing acoustic guitar and I regret that I can't now recall the names of the other two individuals.

Stopped in at Martin Accodions today. Great place, and very friendly! I’ve got a Cajun dobro lesson set up for Sunday.
Thanks for the recommendations!

Remember me to Junior! I think it was 2011 when I went there with the Benoits.

Bob - that’s Pennye Huval on bass. She was at the shop. Lovely. A real ambassador.

Pennye, right! She was great. She showed me how she was replacing all the reeds in one of their diatonic accordions for a customer who wanted to change keys. Junior's grandson Joel came in for awhile and performed for a bit - great accordionist and singer.
While you are at it ..

Will you please suggest that there is an eager audience for Cajun steel lessons and for instance, I would buy a DVD even if it is homemade and rough
