Can anyone help me with this? Looks like the vinyl from the leg & rod pouch somehow
got on the pedal rack. I don't know if it
was hot & melted on there but it has left a
mark in the middle of the pedal rack just above the guitar decal. I have used simichrome and mothers polish but this sucker won't budge. I try real hard to keep my stuff clean and polished so this bugs me.
(I know it doesn't effect the guitar in any way but I would like to remove this "stain")
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I would have thought Simichrome would take it off. Or even some type of auto polish or auto chemical cleaner such as bug and tar remover since it's not a "scratch".

You could try some "jewelers rouge" polishing compound, either by hand or with a buffing wheel and then finish it with the Simichcrome or Mother's.

You might get a replacement decal & take the pedal rack to a polishing company & have them buff out all the dings, scratches, & stains, or do the same yourself with a buffing wheel,

If it's a black mark, from adhesive or the vinyl itself, I'd try cleaning it with a Q-tip and some lighter fluid first. If that doesn't take it off, you can try some acetone or M.E.K. (methyl-ethyl keytone) with a Q-tip, also, but be careful! Acetone and M.E.K. are hazardous (don't breath them, and don't get it on your skin), and they'll remove just about any kind of paint or varnish and dissolve most plastics, too! The good part is that ithey don't affect metals or wood. You can probably buy a small bottle at an electronics outlet.

(Keytone and acetone are is the main ingredients in airplane glue, and PVC cement.)

If it some form of sticky residue, there is a product called Goo Gone that works well on most surfaces. It is a citrus based product that is good for removing stickers and labels. It's also good for loosening and removing gum and tar from shoes. It works well and smells good, too!
