Well my superfingers and guide bracket
arrived. I bought these before all the
recent posts, so as a newbie, was taking
alot on faith. Before I mailed John Coop
my old E9 finger set, I took it apart to
show what I found...
The back of the puller had a groove worn in
it from where the raise plate pushes up
against it.
As a later model Bud, the puller has a slot
for the string. The slot had an "L" shaped
groove cut in it from the end of the string
wrap.
The side of the pulling finger, which rides
in a slot on the tail plate, had all kinds
of wear marks from dirt and the side to
side motion (not back to front). Made worse
because of no slots on the guide bracket
underneath.
If you have a later model ShoBud and are
going for Superfingers, check your guide
bracket to. If you have one with no slots,
replace it to!
