Has anyone ever reverted back to the original single coil pick-up on their Emmons D10?
My 1970 D10 was bought fitted with E-66's. From mig-range towards the top end I found the sound less ear-piercing, but nice and round. From about the seventh string down the note, or string separation, is not as open sounding as my SD10. Hence my opening question. Your thoughts??

I tried an E-66 on my Sierra once and found it thin. I have heard them sound very rich in other guitars, though.

I tried one on my Franklin and compared to a Lawrence 710, the E-66 was much bassier.
