Sad to read this news. I became a big fan of ACDC circa 1977. Their music felt closely linked to the great Rock and Roll traditions of Chuck Berry, etc., mostly because of Malcolm Young. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Yes we've lost another legend, & Malcolm now joins his older brother George, of "The Easybeats" fame.
Sure is going to be a rockin' band in Heaven.
RIP Malcolm & thanks for the music! |

Malcom was the heartbeat of AC/DC. Multiple drummers and bass players cycled through, but the one thing consistent in their rhythm section was Malcom. It's amazing for that style of music to have the rare occurrence of a guy who's completely comfortable just standing still in the back row playing ONLY rhythm guitar in a heavy rock band. But Malcom did just that... non-stop... so that his brother could be free to act wild up front playing lead. No matter what, that familiar 'AC/DC groove' was always there.
RIP Malcom, you were a one-of-a-kind. |
