Wha t is a good program to record something like YouTube videos using video from camera and sound from your mixing program, like maybe Studio One? I hate the sound just off cameras mikes. Have done some Youtubes with sound off mixer but half days job just to get them synced together and they still off. Need something to make it simple.

Hey guys I'm curious to find out which solution you recommend for the YouTube videos?
I tried all sorts of things and always just find it time-consuming, so I usually have to get somebody else to do it

Guys

I use a program called Camtasia. Very easy to use if the real audio track is recorded at the same time the video is shot.

If that is the case, you drop the video file into Camtasia and then the recorded audio track. You simply lay the recorded track over the video audio track to sync them up. Camtasia allows you to mute the video audio track and then you can create the file to upload to Youtube and your done.

I suspect that if the video and audio tracks are done at different times that if becomes much more difficult to sync them.

Hope this helps.

Here is a little clip I did many years ago to see if this would work.

Henry... I use a Mac and use Final Cut Pro X to do just that... I'll leave a link below to Nameless Shuffle, which I did a few months ago... I used 3 different cameras, (Old Phone’s and a Logitech webcam)... I too use Studio One Professional 3... when I brought all the clips into Final Cut Pro along with the Comped Studio One recorded and mixed file, it Sync’d the audio of S1 with all 16 video clips perfectly the first time... You might notice near the end there’s a spot that doesn’t look quite right, but that was my fault, grabbing or choosing the wrong angle clip... I recorded with all 3 camera’s running at the same time and played the song through 3 times and then 2 additional times in spots I didn’t like... Comped it all together, and pretty much threw it all at FCP and let it work it’s magic... once it does that, it’s just a matter of choosing which camera angles you want to use because they’re all already Sync’d.
