"Tears" - PurePrairieLeague - John David Call Intro/Break

Here's another one for us aging country rockers. I had the old record albums out this weekend. "Tears" is off PPL's first album "Pure Prairie League". It's kind of an obscure tune but lots of 1970's "happy" upbeat country rock steel by John David Call. Here's a shot at the intro and break. It was a little difficult especially on the intro to separate the steel from the guitar in places. Nothing tricky here but good practice for pedal and picking work. Corrections and comments always welcome. Enjoy!
Here it is on youtube. The break starts at 1:40...and G lever lowers 6th string a full tone

Thanks for this Jeff!

Love this tune... the interplay between Call and the steel inspired guitar of Fuller is really something.

My duo act has had Amie on and off our setlist for years... for sure bustin' out these old albums for the more obscure tunes is on my list ;)

Thanks for that Jeff. I can't say I ever heard that tune. I guess I started with the Bustin' Out disc.

Nice job tabbing.

Mr. Call is one of my early influences with his work on Two Lane....

I'll work on this. Thanks again.

That was a lot of work; thank you Jeff!

I wasn't familiar with this first album either, but after listening, it really is good and the steel work is superb.
