PLEASE CLOSE - Looking for steel for a beginning student.

Post by JG Miller »

Looking for a decent single neck 3 + 4 for a student. He's can go up to $1400/$1500. He's a talented young man who already plays guitar and mandolin and is really motivated to learn pedal steel, so I'd like to find a solid instrument for him to learn on. I check the classified regularly and see them go pretty quickly, so I thought I would place a ad here.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Bmi S-10

Post by Jerry Roller »

Mr. Miller, I have a BMI single 10 that has 3+3 as it came from the factory. I could sell it for $1,075.00 or I can install a 4th knee lever for an additional $75.00. Either way it would have new strings and set up and adjusted ready to play. Case included. (I actually have two identical guitars but one is spoken for).
If you are interested please email me at omegasteeler@gmail.com if you would like photos.
Thanks,
Jerry

Is this by chance my old friend Jerry Miller that I have not heard from in several years since the Indy Gospel show days? If so, sorry it didn't register, thus the (Mr).

Thanks for the reply, Jerry. I'm not the guy you know, I'm a more recent transplant to Indiana. I do respond to Mr. Miller, though!
Anyway, I'll relay your info about the BMI to my student, sounds like a really good deal, and see what he thinks. Thanks again!

Thanks for all the replies we got concerning this. We ended up getting him a really nice, newer 3x4, but it was hard to decide between all the great and fair offers we got. Thanks again for helping a young kid get started on this instrument!
