Eminence EPS-15C vs 1501BW

I'm using a Revelation into a Carvin HT400 stereo power amp into two identical 15" cabinets loaded with 1501's. I recently purchased an Eminence 15C and replaced one of the 1501's to compare the difference. It's always difficult to describe the tone of speakers in words. This is my best shot:
The 1501 sounded hollow or nasally in the mid and low range compared to the 15C. The 15C seemed more punchy or compressed in the pick attack, which is also a plus. The highs were slightly harsh in the 1501 compared to the 15C. In other words, highs were silky and clean in the 15C. I'm sure all of the tone properties were designed into the scheme of the 15C. Deeper cone and narrower coil compared to the 1501? Anyway, I'm pleased with the results and have a second 15C on it's way to load into the other cabinet.
