Jeff plays on the Penny Gilly show. Anybody know him? He is a good player, and seems pretty laid back.
Jeff is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. He is a terrific steel player and can play just about anything quickly after years of being the steel player at the Grapevine Opry.
You have described him perfectly. That sums up his personality perfectly.

Jeff is just one of many graduates of the very informal "Washington DC School of Pedal Steel Guitar" that was alive and well in the mid to late 70's!
Of course there was no real school or curriculum but there were tons of bars that had live music in DC back then so you could go hear steel players all over the place.
Not to be forgotten by those of us lucky enough to be there in the that era was the fact that you could go over to Oxen Hill Music and take lessons from another very nice man, the late Buddy Charleton!
I think Jeff also held the steel seat in the Country Current for a number of years?
