I had an incident once where the guitar player got mad and drug up between the first and second set. I played the gig without him, kinda hard to do that without a drummer. I can tell you this, when I was fronting a band, that would be the ONLY time you walked off a gig with me. I would never work with anyone like that again. The worst thing was, the guitar player got miffed because the club owner told him he was playing to loud for the small club and asked him to turn down some. And he asked VERY nicely. Anyway, sorry to hear your gig fell apart, that certainly dont do much for the bands reputation....James |

Willie... Yes it has.. more than once unfortunately. When it comes to bands, the music is the easy part... Getting along is the hardest.
Sometimes you get lucky and its one big happy family, but more often than not, its egos, personality clashes, hard feelings, a "me first" attitude. Usually its one person, and often its the person with the most talent.
I have found that if a band has two or more "head cases" it NEVER even gets far enough along to be called a band.... anyway, I hope you guys straighten it out!!1 bob |

Long time ago, rock n' roll. Drummer, first threw up on his drums (bad sign), kept playing for a while then passed out falling forward.
15 years ago, rockabilly, bass player passed-out standing up against the wall.
Another night, we're hired into this bar, but the crowd wants to hear 'Boston' covers. They pay us and fire us, after the first set.
2 years ago, showcase, guitar player not playing well, passes out backwards, tearing the other guitar player's cable out, in the middle of the set. Prospective management company and the label rep, are unfavorably impressed. |
