Baxter Springs, Kansas show

Since Oct 1 is on Saturday this year, will the show start on Friday Sep 30 or the following week on Oct 7?

Norman, the show actually starts on Friday the 29th of Sept. then Sat. the 30th, and Sun. the 1st. of Oct.

But folks, do not forget about the river party on the 28th of Sept.
It just a 1/4 mile east of town and turn to the right (south) into the park.
Starts around 4:00 PM,
They'll be grilled hamburgers & hot dogs, I'm donating the meat, you all can bring the fixins.
Usually when we leave around 7:00 PM, we all head down to the community building and set up the chairs & tables for the show the next morning.
Its a bunch of FUN and I can't wait.

After great shows in Branson, Silom, and Broken Arrow, the Baxter show is a great way to wrap up the show season for us. Great music, Great people and Great food!

It's been a while since we've played the Baxter show, I'll have the Country Classics with me again and looking forward to it. Thank you once again for the invitation. One of the best shows around, just like a family reunion.

It's in Baxter Springs, Kansas. Situated in the SE corner of the state just north of Miami Okla. and west of Joplin, Missouri. It's one of the best around the area and you'll feel welcome there.

I love this show. They have allowed me to emcee the last several years. Denise went with me last year which makes it even better.

We make into a vacation too. We see 2 of my Sons and there families in KS before or after the show.
You can't find a nicer group of people.

I talked to Ray yesterday about the schedule. I am trying to get a head start on the emcee list.

Ray has had computer problems and is rebuilding the info.

It will be close to last year's schedule, of course, saying that, there are plenty of changes due to certain ones not coming and some coming that was not there last year.

Basically if you played last year you "should" be playing the same spot. However, as with any steel show THERE WILL BE CHANGES.

As I have said many times scheduling musicians is like herding cats.

Every knows paying gigs rule. ðŸ˜€.

I start packing my new Van a week from today.

I have always played on Sunday, because of playing Dances on Saturday nights. This time I am not booked for a Dance on Saturday, so I can play on Saturday or Sunday. So fit me in where you need to.
