The Eagles performing last night at the AAC with Milo Deering on his MSA Legend equipped with Lfrets. This pic was taken during Hotel California. Milo and Joe Walsh in the same mix. Pedal steel guitar was played on many of their biggest hits last night. It was a surreal moment indeed and a banner moment for Pedal Steel!

Lfrets is a really fresh awesome implementation of an old idea to illuminated the fretboard. This is the kind of exposure that steel guitar needs. Milo is much more than just a great musician. He is a great composer and arranger. Makes my day just seeing this whole thing develop.

Milo Deering is a monster on every instrument with strings used in popular music. One of the most under-recognized musicians in the country, IMHO. This tour should give him extreme exposure.

Another player approaching Milo's territory is Bobby Flores, who can pick up any instrument and floor you with it.

We've all heard him for decades, playing fiddle and guitar behind Tom Bodett for Motel 6.

Hi Kyle,

Milo Deering is really amazing on any instrument that I've seen him play.

Can you please post that picture to you Facebook page so that I can share it, if not I can grab it from here if you don't mind :)

Are there any video or audio clips available ?

Bob

I wonder if they played anything from Henley's 'Cass County', great record and Milo is all over it.

Exactly!

There is another current thread, Steel, is it getting pushed out???, where I asked Why Don't More People Play Steel Guitar?, in other words, what will it take to get more people into it.

My take is: Awareness and Inspiration.

We're getting a nice taste of that here. Excellent!

Saw them in State College several years ago. "Last Good Time" by Joe Walsh blew me away. Had not heard it before....
