Web site that has ocean sounds, etc. of Hawaii ?
At some point, I ran across a web site that I think was devoted to the Hawaiian steel guitar and sound effects for users to add to their recordings, etc. For the last hour or so I have searched the internet, my bookmarks, etc and cant find it Can anyone help me with this ? Or did I just make it up in a dream of mine ?

I was intrigued so I had to search myself. Found this: https://retired.sounddogs.com/searchres ... iian+music
It's not free though, but the overall number of recordings they have is incredible!
This one seems to be more of a broker to other sites: https://www.pond5.com/sound-effects/1/h ... 080/hawaii
Now how about the Forum starts it's own Hawaiian samples site, got to be a new revenue stream!!!

It's funny with sound effects--I frequently pay attention to the production values in my mind (lol) and a lot of times I just hear certain things that need to be there. The problem is, I usually have a clear picture of what I want the sound to be exactly, and finding a good match is like finding a needle in a haystack.
I did find a few good things from Soundsnap. They have high quality samples of diverse categories and the pricing is reasonable at 5 downloads for $15. I used a sample on my record. https://www.soundsnap.com/

I've been using the site that Stefan posted above. I'll be working on a new surf tune/video next week and I can use some ocean sounds. In general, I'm not into sound effects in songs, but I think the ocean sounds add a lot to Hawaiian and surf tunes. I used them in my video of The Enchanted Sea and people seem to like it.
