Hello. I have just purchased a DD 10 Sho-Bud with 8 & 4. Can someone give a me a direction to go on about the pedal & knee lever set up on the C 6th. I know there are a lot of variations, but I'm looking for the most popular one to get started on. Any reply would be helpful. Thanks

BE SURE TO SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE

That's Buddy Emmons' C6 setup he's used for years. The 5 pedals and 4 knee levers are the most common changes used. Not all C6 players use all 4 levers.

Many C6 players add two or more knee levers in the middle, right over the C6 pedals. You can share knee levers, using them for both necks, but many/most share the RKR and RKL and, if they have more than that, add the additional levers in the middle.

My personal preference for which levers are most important are
1. C to B on 3rd
2. A to Bb on 4th
3. C to C# on 3rd (especially if you use D on top -- as most do these days)
4. A to Ab on 4th

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Larry. I will have to start from scratch. None of the knee levers are connected to the C 6th neck. Also, I'm not sure what to do about the floor pedals.
Thanks again.
