Tab for the Steel Solo in "I'm Gonna Miss" by Brad Paisley

I've been trying to figure out the run in the first two measures of the steel guitar solo in "I'm Gonna Miss Her" by Brad Paisley. To be clear, not the intro to the song but the steel solo right after the guitar solo. It's a fairly common little riff but I'm not really sure which strings and pedals are being used. Does anyone know if there is tablature for this solo or maybe familiar with the riff? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.

Hey Barry, try this...I think this is what you were after. There's a couple of places on the neck you could play this but this seems to make the most sense to me

Wow that was fast!! Thanks so much Jeff. I kept trying thing on strings 2,3 & 4 with the B & C pedals down and it seemed to work for the first measure but I couldn't figure out where it went from there. Looks like I was way off base. I'm gonna work on this right away!!!

Hey guys, is it just me, or is the steel on the pick up towards the beginning not easy to decipher either? Anyone have a tab of the opening steel licks following "Well I'm gonna miss her..."?

Andrew,

I listened to this a few times before I figured out how he might be keeping that low note the same while the upper notes change on the first couple of chords -- I think it's done with a raise of 1 and 2 like this...

[tab]

1 ___7-RR__7-RR-7__________
2 ___7-R___7-R--7__________
3 _________________________
4 ___________________7~~2-_
5 ___7--___7----_____7~~2-a
6 ___________________7~~2b_

[/tab]

See what ya think...

Randy,
My apologies for the delay in thanking you for the help! Your response was so quick and I think it was the hint I needed. I hadn't considered the 1st and 2nd string raises as ways to get to that sound. Thanks very much!

For those interested, I have tabbed the whole song from beginning to end, including the solo and the last bit at the end. Pm or email for details. Cheers!
