Holy cow, that is some awesome Frankenstein engineering. I figured there has got to be video of it in action... no luck with that guitar, but found this Tele which might even be more Frankenstein (Frankensteiner??)

That is one freaky invention, clever guy to pull that off. I wonder if he ever considered just learning to play pedal steel...

It certainly looks similar to the Pedal Pitch device that MSA made a few of.
