Any Sydney based Teachers?

Post by Tim Bennett »

Hey all, long time reader that finally joined.

I've picked up my old non-pedal D8, and am committed to learning it properly this time - I'm hoping to track down a local teacher to get me on track. I'm currently just working on one neck tuned to C6, and I eventually plan to learn PSG too (right after purchasing one).

Anyone know of Sydney-based Pedal/Non-pedal teachers? I tried doing a search on past posts but didn't really find anything.

I am open to getting Skype lessons too, but I'm also pretty keen to find real people to talk to!

Welcome to the Forum, Tim.
Are you the fellow I met at Smithers and Robson Valley last summer, perchance?

Cheers, Chris

Thanks Jeff, much appreciated.

Wasn't me I'm afraid Chris, as cool as that would have been. There are a surprising number of Tim Bennetts around...

Oh well, I thought the Australia/musician factor might improve the odds a tad, even though the chap I met up in northern BC is, IIRC, a Melbourne lad. A fine musician, he does the cruise ship thing, and the last couple of summers has played bass for some old friends of mine from BC for festival season. Endless summer, anyone?

Try Graham Griffith here in Sydney. He plays non pedal. I could help with Pedal but not non pedal. Graham is a forum member and you'll be able to PM him.

Damien, I've got his number, I'll hit him up this week and see what he's up to. Chris, I'm between Ryde, the City, and the Central Coast, depending on work.

Mickey, that sounds like fun - I'd be keen to get some more details from you. I don't know Wayne, although I know of him.

Thanks all :D
