The coils on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are a mess. The cans themselves sound fine. It's just the cord always gets tangled up. I was wondering if they were earbuds that worked well for PSG.

You could cut off the coiled cable & replace it with "normal" un-coiled cable.

You could get a set of Bose wireless, expensive but they are worth it. Just a thought, but what do I know. :\ Jim Goins.

I'm very finicky about sound, especially in my headphones, and I found the Apple earbuds (the ones that come with the iphones) the best for sound for such a compact design.

Audio Technical M40x is what I use(d) for years...sound great, and have a hand replaceable cord with either coiled or straight cables, comes with 1/4" RTS adapter on the tiny plugs.

Lots of shared disgust with coiled cables.
