I bought this 12 string pickup on a whim when I was leaving Palenscar's place. I was thinking of putting it in my new (old) P/P, but the stock pickup is really doing it for me right now. Does anyone have a clue what this thing is? It looks like a BL 712 without sides covered, but the poles exposed on the bottom tell a different story.
Any info would be appreciated

Bummer. Not a single guess. Must be some weird one off. |

Hi Dan,
I too have one of these pickups. It was sold to me as a Bill Lawerance BL 710 ... early or pre production model.
I had it in each neck of my Emmons Legrande III and it sounds fine, but wasn't a close enough match to a modern 710 to leave it in. Also, I couldn't get it low enough in that guitar (not enough string clearance).
If you're looking for a second one let me know.
Cheers,
George |
