Nice find, Charley - thanks!
Now I just hope that this becomes a residence (like the Time Jumpers) until we can all make it to Nashville ... |

Hi Frank,
Yes it would be a great event to have these fine musicians, particularly Lloyd, to grace regular appearances in Nashville. Even to see or hear him at steel shows?
Like many, Lloyd has given so much to the recording industry for the rest of us to enjoy. Our community of Pedal Steel players have enjoyed him so much, too. He is still healthy and able to make contributions to the music industry which a testament of what he came to Nashville to do; create the illusions of music in sessions.
He is revered by many and is truly a pioneer to the industry. His diligence, perseverance to just do just that is unprecedented.
Giving back is important in many facets. He is doing just that, giving back to the community that has supported him on a level that evolved on a monumental status. |

So, yeah ... that's Russ Paul (session player extraordinaire) on rhythm, Dennis Crouch (arguably the most important session bass player in the world right now) on bass, Jerry Roe (#1 on-call session drummer in Nashville) on "drum," guitar legend Bill Sanford on lead, the incomparable Logan Ledger on vocals, and my dad (Lloyd Green) on steel. You could visit a thousand bars in a thousand cities and never see this level of talent on the same stage. Rarely even in the same studio. So simple, so authentic, so well executed! |
