Well... I finally got the re-do done. The guitar was originally a 3-3, so I added some fun, in the form of 2 knee levers & a floor pedal.

All of this with the aid of Jim Palenscar's Pedal Steel Guitar Shop (parts & knowledge).

My copedent is very very similar to Tommy White's copedent, except for the two Right Knee levers, which are opposite of Mr White's guitar.

The left Knee Vertical is my design, which a few of you folks have already seen & the added Rest Pad is a creation of mine, too.

If Jimmy Day can name his guitar, "Blue Darlin", I can give my guitar a name too. I found the "High Country" emblem on a Sierra Pickup, by the way. The SIERRA emblem came on a car.

Now, I've got some learnin' to do....

Hi Andy... I couldn't tell you when this guitar was built.

They are a mirror of the front legs. You must be seeing an optical illusion.

It is the only Sierra I ever saw with legs that pass thru the mounting bracket. I bought the guitar from the original owner, he took real good care of it, as you can see.

I really enjoy the rest pad & I was already used to the Vertical Knee Lever. Won't be long & I'll be used to the top 2 strings & the Franklin Pedal.

It was a fun build, took longer that I thought. If I hadn't bought a lathe, it would still be on my Pool Table.

Hi Charley,
This photo looks like the right rear leg angles back and the left rear leg looks almost vertical.
Maybe it is an illusion because another photo looks normal.

I'm thinking this might be the model Chuck made just before the Olympic maybe?
Did the original owner know when it was made?

I was always really impressed with his designs and engineering skills.
They are just a little heavy for my back.
I took a friend there to Sierra about 1979 to get a guitar they were building for him and spent a few days there. Amazing work they did then.

Anyway, I was not being critical, just asking.
Looks like a nice instrument.
