Chuck, the Session 115 has 2 each 250w power amps. One for internal speaker and 1 for an external speaker.

When you get a Session, to better utilize the features of the amplifier, you should get the accompanying extension speaker at Peavey making double the power and as you separate the 2 cabinets you hear a broad sound pattern behind you when you use both cabinets. Just my feeling and experience with the new amp.
