Tommy's guitar was born on Feb. 1st 1974.
Regarding Vern's MSA....it must be a single on a double cabinet which was born on Oct.21st 1974, in which case it should be 1C-3641. Records do not show a 2C-3641 as being produced. |

Vern....2C5641 shows to be a blue double 10 which left the factory with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. It was orginally shipped to Johnson Music....location unknown.
The exact date of manufacture was not entered, however records verify it was made in May of 1977 as you originally stated.
Possibly I had earlier provided you the information, or could it be you're also an authority on MSA history like Donny! |

Many thanks. Yes, I bought the guitar from Louis Johnson music in Columbia SC. Mr Johnson stocked and sold a number of your guitars.And you had previously dated it for me. I use to do amp repair for him and other music stores in the area, (retired broacdast opr. mrg. eng). Each time I would see a new one on the floor I would give it a test. When I played ole Blue for the first time I knew it was my guitar. I was playing Sho-Buds at the time. It has been and still is a great guitar. Thanks for building them right.

Vern....Thank you for reminding me. I now remember Louie Johnson very well, and you're right, he sold a lot of MSA guitars.
I'm delighted to know your MSA has served you so well over the past 27 years, and I thank you for providing it a great home. |
