I have 2 Derby volumn pedals both with Clarostat 500K pots. One is much brighter sounding while the other is much bassier. The wirings are the same as are the pots. Why would two identical pedals sound so different?

Joey,
The input and output jacks on the bassier pedal could be backwards. Try plugging your chords in opposite from the way you normally do and see if it makes any difference.

Joey,

That's a question I've asked myself forever. I've got three Emmons pedals and every single one of them sound different.
Johnny, If you read his post carefully you'll see he saya they are wired the same. So I would say it's just a charicteristic of the pedals.
