Dairy State Steel Guitar Show

For one last time we are putting on the Dairy State Steel Guitar Show at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. The dates are March 17-19, 2017. Our headliners will be Danny Hullihen, Eddie Lange, and Joe Wright. This along with roughly 25 other steelers from around the surrounding states. The Mead has a rate of 99 dollars a night for up to four people in a room. Just call and tell them you are with the show.
The reason we are calling it is that three of us are fighting major and minor health issues, and just don't have anymore gas in the tank to keep going. It takes a lot to put one of these on. So we are going into this with the attitude that this may be the last but it is going to be the best.
I would also like to add that our Friday night entertainment will be David Church who for those that don't know does a Hank Williams tribute.
Reservations for David and the show can be made at 715-451-3549.

Kinda sad this is coming to an end. Been attending for 10 years. Been a good run while meeting lots of good people. Lots of hard work by all.

I wish you would reconsider discontinuing the show, I really look forward to it. The facilities are SO nice!

Erv I agree with you there, but it is just getting to be too much to deal with. People always offer to help but when the work starts everybody disappears. For the most part Susie has done about 65 to 70% of the front work with no help. With her back issues plus other things we just can't go on.

Craig, this is indeed sad news for us. The Dairy Steel show is one of only two that are within reasonable driving distance for us. We've attended six times previously and the count would have been more if it wasn't for the "iffy" weather we northerners get during March. It was especially nice to be able to stay at the same location as the show is held. Thanks for all the good times & memories we will treasure for many years to come and we hope to attend again this year. Also thanks to all the organizers and especially Susie for all your hard work, which is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to the entire Dairy State Steel Show Staff.

Just a couple more days to the last Dairy Steel Show in Wisconsin Rapids Wisconsin. Its been a pleasure to have attended the past several years at this show. The staff and management has always been upmost professional. If you love the Steel Guitar or dancing please attend as there is practically nonstop country music for over 2 days. It would be awesome if someone else would carry the torch and keep this show going as we all know its a tough go just keeping this pedal steel music alive and well. Hope its a barn burner of a time..
