'Listened to Tommy on the Opry on TV Sat night.
So I'm not hearing any noticable delay or reveb, but it doesn't sound dry either.
How'd he do that?

With a lot more talent than I'll ever have. I suspect a lot of it is his right and left hands. |

I've heard his playing on a push/pull,Carter,MSA Millenium and now a Fessenden and it all sounds pretty much the same. Great! |

Tommy White could play a Silvertone through a Heathkit amp and it would sound equally as fabulous,at least in my opinion.

Ah Heathkit, have'nt heard that name in a long time. My first steel amp was a 30 watt dual 6l6 amp with 2 university 12" speakers. It worked great for many years.
You should have heard Tommy's tone at the Super Jam last tuesday on his new Fessenden. Fantastic as was Doug and Paul. Its amazing what talent these fellows have. Tommy's new Fessy has dual chrome strips on the front apron which sets it apart from the rest. All these folks were very accesable and would answer any question you could ask about playing. |
