That steel must have been on stage with "Murph and the Magic Tones".

I can buy the pink fur.....But what's the deal with the pedalrack? By what mental process does one come to cut it in half - then put the clasp mechanism back on the shortened end?

Jimmie, let's just say that it's a very fancy, pre-1963, Fender 400 "parts guitar".

(See, I can be nice sometimes! )

Astounding! I've finally found a vintage American-made instrument I hope would actually fall into the hands of a wealthy Japanese collector.

Michael, your question about the clamp on the shortened pedal rack is central to analyzing the mindset of the person who performed this surgery.

I bet the hacker had an electronic gizmo that sat on the floor and the pedal bar was in the way, so he shortened it. Withough the gizmo to clamp it to, I think the guitar would be pretty unstable.

I bet some beginner will buy it, then send me email asking where to get instructional material for it. Happens every time.

It looks like he(?) put a leg socket in the middle front of the guitar (look at the fingernail pic showing the multiple cable pully's), and used it as a 3-legger with 2 in the back and one in the front middle (hooking to the chopped off pedal rack). Whoever set it up for this pic must not have done that "mod" (mod-squad?!)
Also, it appears to be a 10 string Sho-Bud pickup.

Brandin, I hope you'll add flocking to your Emmons p/p real soon! Maybe fringe or beads hanging from the front apron would look really cool, too!
