1971-2 era

Rosewood formica
no raised neck
metal clad pickup like an old d'armond?
2 pedals (A&B) 8 strings (no top 2 chromatics)
NO knee levers

anyone ever seen one of these?

bought mine new in '71 sometime... never seen or heard tell of another since.

A transitional model to Hoffnar's recent S10 he had for sale?

I had one, not back then, but recently. It had real endplates, not the flat plates, so that I thought I could simply add a couple of Student-length fingers and drill two more sets of holes in the end plate and make a ten string, but the string spacing was wrong.
This one has an original pickup made by that old partnership from Huntington Beach, California with that started with a B. I think Lace got some of his ideas from them.
If I am not mistaken, I may have sent the guitar, less bellcranks, off to Tom Casella.
EDITED TO STATE: I remember now -- Barcus Berry pickup. Black pickup with no visible poles and white Barcus-Berry graphics on top.
