Interesting lap steel for the price?

Passing by this interesting find while driving through Tennessee:
"CUSTOM LAP STEEL GUITAR, 10 STRING, COULD BE SET UP AS 12 STRING, GROVER KEYS, GEORGE L PICKUP, ALUMINUM NECK $275"
Looks overkill for the 6 or 8 string I'm looking for to use in blues gigs, but it's cheap and looks like it could be pretty versatile. However it could be a pain in the butt.
What do you guys think?
