I got the original, not the "plus". I'd have to research the difference but I'll let you do that.

It is a pretty decent practice tool but I have never gotten the hang of loopers, with the timing of stepping on & off the start/stop pedal at the right time to create a properly timed loop. So the Trio was always hit or miss for me to the point of not going very far with it before putting it in the pile with other stuff I keep meaning to go back and get the hang of.

It uses BIAB technology (apparently) but unlike BIAB, you will have to be content with the rhythm & phrasing options it has onboard, as opposed to creating the exact beat you want on BIAB. So either it has it or it doesn't.

If you're looking for a practice tool that can just give you something good sounding to play against, it's a thumbs-up. If you are looking to set up specific songs the way you hear them in your head, it will be a challenge.

Again--this is the original Trio, not the Plus.

Thanks for that info. Still looking into it. Can't pull the trigger just yet!

If anyone has a Trio Plus and wants to part with it I may be interested.

I don't have the Digitech, I have the Boss looper, I managed to work around the timing issues, by setting the thing to off, on the first switch press, rather than starting another loop. I have sent some drum parts to it with a drum machine, but for now I haven't mastered it yet!
(The guys on tube lay down 3 or more parts, in real time!)
