I've been recording instrumentals for a couple of years since I retired from playing live venues so I can try to keep some of the cobwebs from accumulating. Posting a link to my Soundcloud page if anybody is interested in giving them a listen. Feel free to comment or critique or chime in with any suggestions y'all have on recording technique from home. Equipment you use, etc. Any critique you may have on my playing is welcome too, however I'm QUITE aware of where the deficiencies are located on that!! LOL It's really just been an experiment for fun.
Thanks in advance, Scott

Thanks Richard. I did all these in Garage Band using some tracks I've recieved from other players, and some tracks I've created myself on a workstation. A couple of the tracks I played the other instruments myself. _________________ 2019 MSA Legend 9&9 BL705/Telonics X10 - 2010 MSA Studio Pro 9&9 BL 710s - 1995 Emmons LeGrande II D10 8&8 - E-66's - 1976 Emmons Split Tail PP - Clay Alden 15k SW - Hilton and Goodrich Volume Pedals - Evans FET 500 - Peavey Session 400 - Quilter Tone Block 202 w/Travis Toy Signature 12 and 15 Speakers/Cabinets - Profex II and ART Multiverb Alpha

Thank you Dale. You are an inspiration to me as well! I'm with ya on the funk thing. Man, sometimes I just can't get in the mood for playing. I had to clean up and rearrange the recording corner just to make that video.. LOL Maybe we can have a Skype session soon to create some motivation. I'll try to keep the sight gags and noise makers to a minimum....LOL That is, unless Punkin starts up HIS shenanigans!!
I'll post some more later. See what I can come up with. _________________ 2019 MSA Legend 9&9 BL705/Telonics X10 - 2010 MSA Studio Pro 9&9 BL 710s - 1995 Emmons LeGrande II D10 8&8 - E-66's - 1976 Emmons Split Tail PP - Clay Alden 15k SW - Hilton and Goodrich Volume Pedals - Evans FET 500 - Peavey Session 400 - Quilter Tone Block 202 w/Travis Toy Signature 12 and 15 Speakers/Cabinets - Profex II and ART Multiverb Alpha

Great playing !! And nice selection of tunes to play...I first heard Charlie Byrd play "I will wait for you" on one of his vinyl albums back in the 60s or 70s when I was working on bosa nova type classical guitar playing and instantly loved that song..from the movie "umbrellas of Cherbourg , and you do a beautiful job on it, as well as the others. great tone ! Thanks for putting those up for us to listen to ! _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Hey, Larry. Thank you. I don't get on the forum much and I'm just now seeing your comments. Yeah, my choices are somewhat eclectic to say the least. I like a lot of different tunes and find myself asking, "Wonder what that would sound like on steel?" Thanks for your input and I'm very glad you liked them. _________________ 2019 MSA Legend 9&9 BL705/Telonics X10 - 2010 MSA Studio Pro 9&9 BL 710s - 1995 Emmons LeGrande II D10 8&8 - E-66's - 1976 Emmons Split Tail PP - Clay Alden 15k SW - Hilton and Goodrich Volume Pedals - Evans FET 500 - Peavey Session 400 - Quilter Tone Block 202 w/Travis Toy Signature 12 and 15 Speakers/Cabinets - Profex II and ART Multiverb Alpha

I really wish you'd get out and play a gig or two so I could come harass you. After all these years of knowing you, I've never heard you play. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Yeah....you have. It was just "forgettable." I seem to recall one weekend you were at Pearls I think or somewhere close to Rodeo Exchange. I was there at RE and you popped in. I think I was playing with Dusty at the time. I was set up on the left hand side of the stage. You walked up and I was in a futile attempt to work out some new lick and you swiftly pointed out I was doing it wrong. LOL I remember because Ted Solesky came by the same night and I thought Jeez, two killer steel players in the audience in one night! I just imagined y'all in your underwear. It was ghastly. _________________ 2019 MSA Legend 9&9 BL705/Telonics X10 - 2010 MSA Studio Pro 9&9 BL 710s - 1995 Emmons LeGrande II D10 8&8 - E-66's - 1976 Emmons Split Tail PP - Clay Alden 15k SW - Hilton and Goodrich Volume Pedals - Evans FET 500 - Peavey Session 400 - Quilter Tone Block 202 w/Travis Toy Signature 12 and 15 Speakers/Cabinets - Profex II and ART Multiverb Alpha
