On my double neck Fender 2000, I'm thinking about borrowing some of the pedals from C6 neck and giving myself some more choices on E9 neck. It seems like I only use a couple of pedals on the C6 anyway, and I really play the E9 more anyway. I've got a pretty standard set-up now on E9 with 4 knee levers. Any thoughts?

A lot of people use the 4th pedal to lower 5, 6 and 10 a whole step. It's a popular change.

I put the 7th string whole step raise on a pedal. It's a corny sounding country change, but I really like it anyway.

If you don't have the G# to G lower, it's another good candidate for a pedal. Take a look at my E9th (clickable in my signature below) for several ideas.

I do the same as b0b in that I raise the 7th string on a pedal. I do it on pedal one as does Tom Brumley. I saw him as Scotty's some years ago and watched him using that change and asked him about it. It's a very useful tool to have at your disposal. I gives you the same thing in the open tuning as rocking on and off of your A pedal with A @ B depressed. Also it takes the 2 out of the E scale when you want to strum an open E chord. With your E's lowered it's the same as the A pedal in that it raises the 5 a whole step. I don't see anyway I could do without it anymore. Another good pedal for E9th is one that raises the 5th and 6th strings a whole tone each. It can be used with the basic tuning and also with the E's lowered in the B6th mode.....JH

Thanks for the tips. I use the Buddy Emmons set up, minus the LKV which lowers the Bs 1/2 step. Buddy lowers his 6th with RKL and this sort of gives me the same feel as raising the 7th string when releasing the lever. I tried to also lower my 5th like Paul Franklin, but my changers won't open up enough to lower B a whole step.
I think I'll try lowering the G#s and/or the Bs. Thanks again guys.
