Hi, can anyone tell me who makes half stop kits suitable for my ancient Shobud pro I? For use on 2nd string E9.

Also I am planning to add knee levers 3 and 4. I have the original Shobud setup, does anyone have other suggestions?

Many thanks to a great bunch of Guys and Gals

Jim; does your Sho~bud actually say "Pro-I" on the front?? If so than yes you can put a half stop feel in there; and www.duanemarrs.com can help you with that. But if you have a rack and barrel; I have a better solution. Or you can still time the half stop using the 9th string lower and the spring technique that I was discussing on another thread I started; but you would have to learn it..ha..
Basically; if you tighten the 9th string lower spring almost all the way; that will give a stiffer feel as the 2nd string lowers a half tone; when the rod hits to lower the 9th string it's half tone, and the 2nd string down it's last half tone. Also you want both the 2nd and 9th string to be pulling from the same spot on the puller and hole in the finger...>but I don't know what finger you have; as Sho~Bud made about 6 different types..ha..
Stay with it.
Oh and for a set up...> the regular Sho-bud 4 knee set up that came from the factory was..RKR Lowers 2 and 9.
RKL lowers 4 and 8
LKR raises 1 and 7 a half tone and LKL raises 4 and 8 a half tone...and there ain't nothin' wrong with that set up..ah..ha.
