Hi-Happy Holidays to all!
my question:
If I want an Emmons S/10 PP how should I obtain it?
Here's the considerations
1) I want a very clean guitar with the orginal pick up
2) I play 3pedals/5knees - and I need it set up Day style.
I know how to change pulls on my Marlin, Lamar, and Williams. I do not know how to change pulls ( and pushes) on a PP- this makes me a little uneasy- because I either need to buy a guitar which is set up exactly as I want ( unlikely) or buy it from someone who knows how to set it up. Or I could buy a guitar which is not set up to my specs and try to find someone in NYC to re-do the copedant.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
BTW- what does everyone think I should need to spend?

To be really sure Emmons Guitar Company has a brand new re-issue S-10 p/p for sale on their website right now. I'm sure they would set it up any way you want it and it would be right!

David, you could look up Tommy Cass in Beantown, Mike Cass in ?, Bobbe Seymour at SGN, Danny Hullihen in Chi, Bobby Bowman, or Bryan Adams (?)
they can be found here on the Forum through "search" by name

Noting your location, Tommy Cass is the logical choice.
He is a super restorer and set up guy.
I have known him for 35 years, great guy.

David, Bryan Adams has a black s10, already has the day setup, I think it has 3 pedals and 6 or 7 knees. Great axe if he has not sold it.

Like they say, buy it set up the way you want it from one of the guys mentioned above, or have it sent directly to one of those guys for set up. The last thing you want to do is have your new push/pull spend most of it's time during the first 6 months with its legs sticking up. You may eventually learn all the set-up tricks the hard way, but you'll be much happier spending your time playing it. For routine tuning, maintenance and minor adjustments, there is a thing called "The Wilderness Guide for Emmons Push/Pull Guitars," or something like that. Do a search for it to find where to obtain a copy.

Bobbe Seymour sells a video on the care and feeding of a push/pull.

Awesome- relatively close to NYC and Dana sounds like he could put together a P/P blindfolded!

Anyway, they've got a single 10 and can add the vertical knee no problem.
